The Student Media department at UNC Charlotte is in pre-production of a new Niner TV show called “Around the Crown: Charlotte’s Top Spots for Students”.

The show’s goal is to expose different places in the Charlotte area that college-aged people will enjoy; this includes restaurants, parks and clubs,” says Cameron Gross, a junior at UNC Charlotte and the brains behind the project. “It [“Around the Crown”] will take place on location of whatever the episode is covering and talk to owners, workers and regulars of that spot,” Gross continues. The people involved in “Around the Crown” and their positions in the show are:

  • Cameron Gross – Producer and Host
  • Megan Hennings – Assistant Producer
  • Zachary Buchholz– Assistant Producer and Videographer
  • Matthew Jackson-Videographer and Production Assistant
  • Robert Propst– Promotions Manager
  • Dana Boone – Host
  • Jordan McSwain– Host

Gross, Hennings, Buchholz, Jackson, Propst, Boone and McSwain are all UNC Charlotte students and have been in other Niner TV shows as well. The first episode of “Around the Crown” will air March 13. You can watch other NinerTV shows online, or catch them on Time Warner Cable channel 22.
