Google visits Charlotte to talk with entrepreneurs

Google paid a visit to Charlotte today in celebration of National Small Business Week to promote their business/organizational software suite, collectively known as Google Apps. They are touring the most entrepreneurial cities in each of the four regions of the US as named by the National Policy Research Council; you can read more about their tour here.

Matt Tyndall, Ben Ullman, and I stopped by for a bit, met some blog readers, including Jeremiah Hester, and talked with the Google crew about our own usage of their apps for keeping CLT Blog connected.

I attended today. The event was definitely worth my time. Google allowed the apps to sell themselves and was just around to answer questions and demo.

DH is upset now that he sees those google shirts. He was in a meeting and didn’t get out in time to go.

I didn’t even know they were giving away shirts… that’s much better than a tote bag. :-) But, yea. Cool event. Met lotsa peeps. It was crowded earlier.

Its weird to me that it was crowded so early. We came when we did because it was lunch time and the event was a cookout. O.o

Oh well, still very cool to see everyone.
