October 24 – Doggie Yoga at Dogtopia – 3 p.m. – 5 p.m
You know that yoga is a great way to reduce stress and increase flexibility. These are great things for your dog as well. If you watch your dog when they are relaxed you’ll see they naturally do lots of stretching. This class will be a way for you to connect with your dog and also help them deepen some of their own stretches. We’ll start with guided meditation for our humans, while the dogs have socialization time in a separate room. When we come back together we’ll do some shared breaths with you and your dog, then teach you where you can find calming spots on your dog’s body. After that we’ll do some guided stretching with your dog, followed by shivasana. The class will be co-taught by Jennifer Busco, RYT to help lead the humans and Kat Myers, a canine massage practitioner to guide the dogs. We’ll have two 50-minute classes – smaller dogs from 3 p.m. – 4 p.m. and larger dogs from 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. Cost will be $15 per human/dog pair. Email or call Dogtopia at 704−333−3063 to register.
